YRE Malaysia organised the NYRE 2021 - Written Article Workshop with a mangrove ecologist from the Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARI), Dr A. Aldrie Amir. 

​

Dr Ahmad Aldrie Amir is a senior lecturer and research fellow at the Institute for Environment and Development (LESTARI) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He is also the coordinator of the Malaysian Mangrove Research Alliance and Network (MyMangrove). Dr. Aldrie's primary research interest is on the ecology and the dynamics of mangroves which include the management and conservation aspects of the habitat and ecosystem. He loves to promote the beauty and the wonders of mangroves, and one of the key modes of communication is by writing and publishing in scientific journals and newspapers for a wide range of readers.

 

In this workshop, Dr Aldrie gave a compelling presentation covering four (4) chapters; 1) Voicing Out on the Issues and Challenges faced by The Environment, 2) How to Write a Good Article, 3) Superhero of the Environment and 4) Writing Strategies.
